Maggie & Rose
Valentine's Camp
Monday 14th February
The Gift of Love
We’re in the mood for love - starting off the week crafting some extra
special Valentine’s gifts to show those closest to us just how much we heart them!
Activities will include:

Valentine’s Day Cards - To the One I Love… We’ll be crafting some cards to give our loved ones on this special day.

Paper Plate Love Birds - Who said paper plates are just for eating off?! With a splash of paint and a mix of textures they also make excellent love birds to perch on our trees.. Who knew?!

Tuesday 15th February
The Shape of my Heart
It is still debated when the heart symbol was first used to represent love, but in today’s camp this most romantic of shapes will be at the centre of everything we do.
Activities will include:

Glowing Jar of hearts - In this arty class we’ll be creating a Valentine Votive, smothered in love hearts and glowing from within. A perfect gift for mummies or Daddies.

Hearty Spin Art - The creativity continues with art that will make us suitably dizzy...be prepared to get messy!

Wednesday 16th February
For the Love of Cooking
In today’s camp we will be pouring our hearts into a delicious recipe, or
two... Perfect, if the way to your little one’s heart is through their tummy!
Dinner for two

Cooking a delicious dinner for two to make this Valentine’s week extra special for our little ones! With some savoury filo tarts to start, followed by sweet strawberry trifle.

Thursday 17th February
If Music be the Food of Love...
...Play on! Love has been a huge inspiration for musicians throughout history, and today is no different for our mini musicians. Love songs galore and much, much more!
Activities will include:

Love songs - We’ll be exploring some super romantic tunes to keep the spirit of love in the air!

Outdoor time - Time to explore the great outdoors and get the blood pumping through the most important muscle of them all.

Friday 18th February
Love is in the Air
For our final day of camp, we’ll be exploring this romantic theme the Maggie & Rose way, by immersing ourselves in messy fun, and concocting a sensory Valentine’s love potion.
Activities will include:

Paint your Love - What better way for little ones to show their love than by spelling it out in their very own masterpiece using their own unique hand- and foot- prints.

Love potion - We’ll be experimenting with different smells and textures to create a bubbling love potion to spread love to all of our big kids!

our camps
Our camps are ideal for children from 4 - 8 years of age and are designed to stimulate curiosity and inspire creativity through a range of art, craft, cooking and music projects. Whether they are carrying out giant science experiments, rehearsing a musical performance using home-made instruments or designing and building a giant cityscape from cardboard boxes, our experienced camp leaders guide children to build relationships, learn social skills, practise problem-solving and teamwork and above all, have fun! Drinks, snacks and lunch are provided and independent ‘what if’ thinking is strongly encouraged!

How are you making it safe for children to attend camps?

The well-being of our team and our member community is paramount and we have put in place a number of measures to ensure a COVID safe environment for your children :

Social distancing, including
– pre-booked sessions with max. 18 children in same weekly ‘bubble’
– we will continue to maintain excellent staff / children ratios and each bubble will be allocated two staff members who will remain with them throughout the week
– children may not bring toys or other items from home

Increased sanitisation and cleaning
– regular hand-washing will be encouraged throughout the day
– increased cleaning shifts, including between sessions
– sanitisation stations

When will camps run?

Camp sessions will run Monday to Friday from 14th February until 18th February. Camps will start at 10.30am and finish at 4.00pm.
Early drop-off and late pick-up options are also available.

We can only accept full week bookings, rather than being able to choose specific days each week.

Will you offer a refund if the camp has to be cancelled?

In the event that we need to cancel a camp session due to lack of demand or government-imposed guidelines, a full refund will be provided.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?

We ask that you provide us with a minimum of 48hrs’ notice should you need to cancel your camp booking. Cancellation of bookings will only be refunded in exceptional circumstances, such as a child needing to isolate due to Covid-19 and upon receipt of a Dr’s note.

What happens if it rains?

We have adequate undercover space to continue camps should weather become inclement.
